For as long as humanity existed, stars always represented hope and divinity. Yet, the diamonds in the sky come crashing down on us, leaving only a large hole of emptiness in our hearts. No matter what we do, the grumpy hole is always empty. In a secular world, this is the anxiety of existence, with no one there to direct us and nothing to stand on.

On another level, I was inspired by Shostakovich’s 11th Symphony also titled "The Year 1905". It depicts the atrocity of “Bloody Sunday” when the guns of Tsar’s soldiers fired at the protesting crowd. The protectors of Russia marched upon the bodies of their own people.
